a handy quote

Yesterday we had our second Quote Quiz. If you don’t already know about this monthly effort, it’s me being extra and trying to motivate my family through a contest to see who can recall a quote I put up each month.

Last month, Scarlett was the ONLY one to have remembered the quote and she was rewarded with a 10-minute hair brushing session from me. I actually think she got longer because we were watching a movie together at the time and I didn’t set the timer.

October’s Quote was up for a full 31 days for them to review, memorize, take to heart and practice. It was a bit longer than the prior quote but still easy enough to remember, I think. The quote that they were being quizzed on was “A coin doesn’t have 2 sides. It has 3 – the face, the back, and the edge. On the edge is intelligence.” -Robert Kiyosaki

Such a good message, right??!

I passed out the papers again. This time, only to Scarlett and Vince. Why no Gianna? Well, she advised me beforehand that she had no damn clue what the quote was even about. Didn’t look at it once. She said, “was it something about imagination?” Um, no, ass face. That was a quote from like 3 months ago. Why am I doing this again? Oh yeah. It’s because I have mental problems.

Anyways, only Scar and Vince get a stab at winning. Whatever.
Papers are returned back to me, and I open Scar’s:

“VOTE FOR SCARLETT 2025”

[Better option than the current selection, I’d say. We got a write in, folks.]

Vince laughs. I groan. I hate my children.

I open Vince’s paper and he actually got it this month! The quote, the author, and even a backstory on Robert himself. Vince is fan girl it seems.

I did question the validity of his response because he was on the crapper when I handed out the papers so he could have cheated by using his phone. Had no proof though.

So, Vince won this month. He is already trying to trade in his back massage for a handy. Thanks girls.
