The last nugget. The one to complete our family. Marina Hays (middle name in honor of my aunt who was like my mom) has been both the easiest child and the hardest, by no fault of her own. She’s the easiest in that her personality is agreeable, she sleeps, and doesn’t talk back…yet. But, so far, she’s had a rough go of things since she shot out during the night of a hurricane.
- She has had sunburn on her face while only days old.
- She was given a Failure to Thrive label at almost 2 months when she fell off the growth charts due to poor feeding issues.
- She had a laser surgery to her tongue to release a tongue tie.
- She goes to a chiropractor to help with her body (but really all babies should)
And, as of writing, she’s not even 3 months old yet. It’s been a whirlwind. But, I can’t imagine not having her here. Sure, sometimes I recall the easier days, but life isn’t supposed to be easy. It’s suppose to be a challenge. And Marina is doing her part to keep this life interesting.
I’ll update this About page in the coming months to reflect Marina more. For now, she is my chunka. My snuggler. And another piece of my heart that gets to be outside my chest.
**Please note that it is very difficult to maintain wholly accurate About pages for my children. They change every day and grow up quicker than I can keep up with now that I am juggling 4 nuggets. I will do my best to keep current but know that this is likely old by the time you read it.
